- Contractor/Remodeler Update 2020 - UP20-0219- South St. Paul, MN
February 19, 2020
7:30 am - 2:30 pm
ProEd’s Update course is written new every year with the same goal in mind, to bring you up to speed on the new changes contractors and remodelers will be facing in the new year. If you only have time for one course this education season, this is it!
Update 2020 takes a look at one of the new ways the state is tripping up contractors and leveling significant fines! This new action is based on the misclassification of employees. Don’t have employees you say? Think again, you just might. And if the state decides you have employees… you could get a call from the Department of Labor & Industry as well as OSHA and the Department of Revenue!
Also discussed in the course:
- The Roofing Game,
- What’s new in construction materials,
- Pushing the energy envelope,
- The Devil in the Details,
- Drones and the construction industry,
- and an Energy Hour.
As always, ProEd includes coffee and donuts at the morning check in and a box lunch during the class getting you out the door and back to your life!
This course has been approved by Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for seven hours of continuing education credit for Residential Contractors, Building Officials and Manufactured Home Installers.
