    February 12, 2020
    7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Initial 8 hr. EPA Renovate, Repair and Paint

EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA, use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices.
If you are a residential rental property owner, a general contractor, a remodeler, a painter, a plumber, an electrician, or any trade that disturbs lead based paint by performing repair work, remodeling, electrical work, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and window replacement, or anything else that has the potential to disturb lead based paint – you need this certification.
This is the EPA’s initial 8-hour certification course designed to inform you about lead based paints, and how to properly work in homes that contain lead based paints. At the end of the course of study and with a passing score on the exam, you will be a certified renovator.
Course includes:
  • Course workbook.
  • EPA renovator certification upon successful completion of course.
  • 8hrs. MN Contractor Continuing Ed credits upon successful completion of course.
This course has been submitted to Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for 8 hours of continuing education credit for Residential Contractors, Building Officials, Manufactured Home Installers, Plumbing, and Water Conditioning.
